Almonds (whole, unsalted)
Walnuts
Pistachios (shelled, raw)
Sugar (granulated)
Orange blossom water
Butter (unsalted)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Using a mixer, chop the dried fruit into small pieces. Add the sugar, 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water, and 2/3 of a cup of melted butter.

Step 2

Melt the remainder of the butter. Cut the pastry sheets to fit the size of the pan you're using. Lay 5 sheets into the pan and brush them with butter.

Step 3

Add in half of the dried fruit filling. Then cover with another 5 sheets of pastry, and brush them with butter. Add in the rest of the filling and cover with a final 5 buttered pastry sheets.

Step 4

Using a knife, cut the baklava into diamonds and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C.

Honey

Step 5

Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water in a pot with the honey, and melt them together over low heat for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the baklava from the oven. Pour the honey and orange blossom mixture over the baklava and leave to cool before eating. Serve and enjoy!
