Step 1

Peel & dice the onion.

Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion. Cook, stirring for 2 min.

Ground beef

Add the beef. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for 3-5 min, breaking up the meat with a spatula as it cooks.

Kidney beans (canned)
Tomato sauce
Chili powder
Tabasco
Oregano (dried)

Step 4

Add the kidney beans & their juices, the tomatoes, oregano & a splash of your favorite hot sauce (optional).

Cover & simmer for 10 min.

White rice (long grain)

Meanwhile, cook the rice according to the package instructions.

Crème fraîche

Step 7

Serve the chili over a bed of rice. Add a dollop of sour cream (optional).
