Step 1

Preheat the oven to 210°C. Peel and finely chop the onions.

Cook them in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil. Add salt, pepper, Provencal herbs, and capers.

Simmer for 15 minutes on low heat, stirring often.

Step 4

Add a tablespoon of powdered sugar, mix and cook for 5 more minutes.

Roll the pizza dough onto a baking sheet (and flatten onto the baking sheet if it's in a ball). Spread on the onion mixture.
