Oven, Cake pan, Microwave

recipe

Raw cane sugar
Flour (all-purpose)
Almond flour
Baking powder

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a mixing bowl, combine : the sugar, ground almonds, flour, baking powder & a pinch of salt.

Banana

Step 2

Peel the bananas (the riper the better) & add them to a second mixing bowl. Mash the bananas.

Egg
Butter

Step 3

Add the eggs & whisk to combine. Add the melted butter & stir again.

Step 4

Mix the dry ingredients into the second mixing bowl. Whisk to combine

Step 5

Generously grease a loaf tin (we used a 29 x 10 cm dish here) with butter & pour in the cake batter. Optional : top the banana bread with some chocolate chips, roughly chopped nuts or a sliced banana. Bake for 50 min at 180°C.

Step 6

Once the loaf is golden, plant the tip of a knife into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the loaf is ready, otherwise, bake it for another 2-3 min. Enjoy the banana bread cold or at room temperature - it is even tastier the next day !

Recipe tip

You can personalize your Banana Bread by adding chopped almonds/hazelnuts in the mixture.
