Thermomix, Peeler
Step 1
In the Thermomix bowl, add : the onions & garlic. Mix 5 sec / speed 5, then scrape down the sides with a spatula.
Step 2
Add a drizzle of olive oil & cook on reverse direction for 2 min / 120°C / speed 2.
Step 3
Meanwhile, peel & small dice the potatoes.
Step 4
Slice the bacon strips.* *Check out our tips for this step
Step 5
Add the potatoes, drained sweetcorn, bacon, stock cube & 180ml of water per person to the Thermomix bowl. Stir & cook for 20 min / 100°C / reverse direction / speed 'Simmering'.
Step 6
Once cooked through, pour the cream into the pot. Season to taste & stir.
Step 7
Serve the corn chowder in a bowl. Re-season to taste & add some fresh basil, is you have some. Enjoy !
For a truly flavoursome dish, we suggest cooking the bacon in a separate pan for more crunchiness & serving the chowder with some toasted bread.
