Step 1
Peel and dice the potatoes.
Step 2
Bring a saucepan of water to the boil, add in the potatoes and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add 1/3 of butter to a hot pan, and add in the chestnuts. Fry for 2 minutes over high heat while stirring.
Step 4
Once the chestnuts are lightly browned, set half of them to one side. Add another 1/3 of butter and add the turkey to the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on each side over medium heat.
Step 5
Add a little milk, if you have some, to the potatoes, salt and pepper and mash together.
Step 6
Add the reserved cooked chestnuts to the mashed potatoes and mash together with a fork.
Step 7
Once the turkey is cooked, deglaze the pan by adding a little water to make a juice.
Step 8
Serve the turkey with the remaining chestnuts and the mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
