Stovetop, Pot (small)
Step 1
Pour the sugar into a saucepan and let it caramelize over low heat until it becomes a nice brown color.
Step 2
Remove from the heat, add the butter cut into pieces. Mix well until it melts. Add a pinch of fleur de sel. Stir again.
Step 3
Then add the liquid cream and stir well until the mixture thickens. Add a pinch of salt if desired & mix again.
Step 4
Pour the caramel into a bowl and let it cool well before serving. Alternatively, pour the caramel into an airtight container & store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy !
