When it's good, it's good, when it's super easy to make, it's even better!
Oven, Peeler, Tart pan, Parchment paper
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices.
Step 2
Tip: To avoid your apples from browning while cutting them, add them to a bowl of water with a little bit of lemon juice.
Step 3
Place the crust in a pie dish (we used a 31 cm diameter dish here). Pierce the crust a few times using a fork. Sprinkle half the sugar*. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 4
Add the apple slices in circles, keeping the smaller pieces for the center. Sprinkle with the rest of the sugar and add a pinch of salt.
Step 5
Optional: Add a few pieces of butter or sprinkle with cinnamon or nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, chopped walnuts...)
Step 6
Bake for 45 minutes at 180°C. Remove when the apples are golden. Enjoy!
If you wish to reduce sugar quantities, you can remove up to ⅓ of the sugar in this recipe without altering flavor.
