Stovetop, Pot (small), Peeler

Beef (chuck roast)
Beef marrow bones

Step 1

In a pan of cold water, add the meat, bone marrow and salt. Cook for 1 hour 30 minutes at a low simmer.

Yellow onion

Step 2

Wash, peel and cut the onion in half.

Carrots (fresh)

Step 3

Meanwhile, peel and cut the carrots into pieces.

Potato

Step 4

Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into pieces.

Leeks

Step 5

Wash then cut the leek into thick slices.

Step 6

Skim the froth from the meat as it cooks.

Bouquet garni

Step 7

After 1 hour 30 minutes of cooking, add all the vegetables, the bouquet garni (a bundle of parsley, thyme and bay leaf) and continue to cook covered for 1 hour. (Optional: add some peppercorns)

Step 8

Serve the meat and vegetables and enjoy!
