Potato

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel & slice the potatoes into very thin rounds - you can also use a mandoline.

Garlic

Step 2

Peel & finely mince the garlic.

Milk (whole)
Nutmeg (ground)

Step 3

In a warm pot, add the milk, grated garlic & nutmeg. Season with salt & pepper & bring to a light simmer.

Step 4

Stir the potato rounds in & leave to simmer for 15 min, over medium heat.

Crème fraîche

Step 5

In an oven-proof dish, add the potatoes. Spread the crème fraîche on top & bake in the oven for 45 min at 180°C.

Step 6

Once the dauphinoise potatoes are golden brown, remove the dish from the oven. Serve with side of green salad & enjoy !
