Make sure you have...
Stovetop, Frying pan
Step 1
Peel & thinly slice the onions.
Step 2
Melt a dab of butter in a pan & add the red onions. Pour a little water into the pan, then fry them covered for 8-10 min, over medium heat.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a second pan, add the bacon slices. Grill them for 2 minutes on each side, over high heat. They should become almost crispy. Then remove onto a sheet of paper towel.
Step 4
In the same pan, melt a knob of butter. Cut the burger buns in half, then toast them on the crumb side for 2 minutes, over high heat.
Step 5
Once the onions are caramelized, set aside off the heat.
Step 6
In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook for 2 minutes on one side. Season with salt and pepper, then turn it over and add the raclette cheese. Cover and cook for 2 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Step 7
Garnish your burger buns by spreading the base with mustard. Add the ground beef followed by the candied onions, slices of bacon and lettuce. Spread the other bun with mustard, then close the burger. It's ready !
