Stovetop, Oven, Frying pan
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place frozen onion rings on a parchment lined sheet tray & bake according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a pan on medium heat, cook the bacon for 2 min on each side or until crisp to your liking. Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with a paper towel.
Step 3
If using ground beef, form burger patties using your hands, about 7cm in diameter.
Step 4
Heat a drizzle of oil on a pan over medium-high heat. Season burger patties with salt & pepper. Add the patties to the pan & cook undisturbed for 2 min on each side.
Step 5
Place bacon & cheddar cheese on top of the burgers. Cover & cook for an additional 1-2 min to melt the cheese.
Step 6
Once they are golden & crisp, remove the onion rings from the oven.
Step 7
Toast the burger bun if desired. To assemble the burger, add barbecue sauce to the bottom bun. Add lettuce, the burger patty & top with additional barbecue sauce. Serve with the onion rings & enjoy!
