Stovetop, Frying pan, Oven
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into cubes.
Step 2
Place the sweet potato cubes on a sheet tray. Add half of the seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil. Mix well and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 200°C.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the ground beef and the remaining seasoning. Mix well, then form each portion into a ball of ground beef using your hands. Set aside.
Step 4
In a very hot frying pan, add the bacon slices and grill for 2 minutes on each side over high heat. They should become crispy. Once crispy, remove from the pan and drain the bacon on a piece of paper towel.
Step 5
Add the meatballs to the same pan and crush with a spatula until flat and thin. Grill for 2 minutes on each side. Add the bacon slices on top. Keep warm.
Step 6
In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the burger buns, crumb side down, and toast for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Once the sweet potatoes are golden brown, remove from the oven.
Step 8
Spread half of the sauce on your burger buns. Add the bacon-topped burgers and the lettuce. Close the smashburger. Serve with the roasted sweet potatoes and the remaining burger sauce. Enjoy immediately — it's ready!
