Stovetop, Pot (small), Grater, Frying pan, Colander
Step 1
Cook the lentils according to the instruction on the package. Peel the carrots and grate or cut into thin strips.
Step 2
Peel the outer skin of the onion and dice.
Step 3
In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the onions, garlic and carrots.
Step 4
Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt & pepper.
Step 5
Add the tomato sauce (if the sauce isn't liquid enough, do not hesitate to add a bit of water). Season well with salt & pepper. Cover and cook for 15 minutes on medium heat.
Step 6
In the meantime, in another pot, cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box. Drain and set aside.
Step 7
After 15 minutes, add the cooked lentils to the veggies and cook for another 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Add the spaghetti to the sauce and mix.
Step 9
Serve in bowls with a drizzle of olive oil and pepper. Optional: add fresh basil. Enjoy!
