Add the sweet potatoes to a microwaveable dish with a bit of water. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes on the highest setting.
Step 3
Remove the sweet potatoes from the microwave, they should be tender (If this is not the case, add them for an extra 2 minutes). Strain.
Step 4
In an oven-proof dish, add the sweet potatoes. Add the drained chestnuts.* Season with salt, pepper & mix. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 5
Add the crème fraîche and cover with grated cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 200°C.
Step 6
Once golden, remove the casserole from the oven & serve. Enjoy !
For a truly flavoursome dish, we suggest adding onions/ shallots & sautéed mushrooms with the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle a handful of chopped hazelnuts once cooked through, for added crunch.
