Split peas

Step 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil (twice the volume of the split peas). Add the split peas. Cover and leave to simmer for 45 minutes on low heat.* *Check out our tips for this step

Step 2

Once the split peas are tender, blend until smooth. If necessary, add a bit of water until you get the right consistency. Season with salt, pepper & a drizzle of olive oil or a dab of butter.

Ham (deli slices)
