White rice (long grain)

Step 1

Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package, drain and set aside.

Turmeric (ground)
Curry powder
Cumin seeds

Step 2

On high heat, add a drizzle of oil (olive, coconut, sunflower...) to a frying pan. Add the spices: cumin, curry, turmeric and cook, mixing constantly for 1 minute to avoid burning.

Cashews

Step 3

Lower the heat, add the cashews and cook for 1 more minute.

White rice (long grain)
Lemon

Step 4

Add the lemon juice and rice to the pan with the spices. Mix well, season with salt and pepper and cook for 5 additional minutes on medium heat.

Cilantro (fresh)

Step 5
