A simple weeknight pasta dish that doesn't lack in flavor!
Make sure you have...
Stovetop, Frying pan, Pot (small)
Step 1
Peel then finely chop the shallot.
Step 2
Wash then cut the broccoli into florets.* Very finely chop the florets. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 3
Remove the casing from the sausages. Cut them lengthwise, then peel off the skin.
Step 4
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan. Add the sausages and brown them for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring to break them into pieces.
Step 5
At the same time, in a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve a small ladle of cooking water, then drain the pasta at the end of cooking.
Step 6
Add the broccoli and shallot to the pan. Season with salt & pepper. Mix & continue cooking for 8 to 10 minutes over medium heat.
Step 7
Add the pasta to the pan with the reserved cooking water. Optional: for a creamier finish, add a tablespoon of crème fraîche & some lemon zest & juice, if you have some. Mix well & cook for an additional 1-2 min.
Step 8
Serve the pasta on a plate and sprinkle generously with grated parmesan. Re-season to taste & enjoy !
