Preheat the oven to 200°C. Rinse the strawberries.

Butter (unsalted)

Melt the butter for 15 seconds in the microwave.

Sugar (granulated)

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt, and the melted butter. Mix until well combined.

Form the dough into a ball and place on parchment paper. Roll out into a circle until the dough is about 1/4 inch thick.

Sprinkle the almond flour over the dough.

Thinly slice the strawberries.

Cover the dough with strawberries, leaving a 1 inch border. Fold in the edges, pressing down lightly.

Optional: add a few dabs of butter and some cane sugar on top of the dough. This will lightly caramelize in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Serve alone or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
