Nectarine

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Rinse the nectarines, chop in half, then into rounds.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 2

Melt the butter 15 seconds in the microwave

Sugar (granulated)
Flour (all-purpose)

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, add: the flour, sugar, pinch of salt, butter and mix until you get a smooth batter.

Step 4

Fashion the pastry in to a ball and place on some baking paper. Roll out a circle, around 5cm in thickness.

Almond flour

Step 5

Sprinkle the powdered almonds over the pastry.

Nectarine

Step 6

Ajoutez les nectarines sur le dessus et répartissez-les en laissant 3 cm sur les bords.

Step 7

Repliez délicatement les bords vers l'intérieur en les pressant légèrement pour qu'ils collent entre eux.

Step 8

Optional: add on a bit of sugar and chunks of butter, for a caramelized topping.

Step 9

Bake for 30 minutes. Serve as is or with a scoop of ice cream, or dollop of crème fraîche!!
