Butter (unsalted)

Step 1

Take the butter out of the fridge so gets to room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Flour (all-purpose)
Sugar (granulated)
Butter (unsalted)

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, add: the flour, 3/4 sugar, a pinch of salt and the butter. Rub everything together using your fingers until you have a sandy texture.

Berries (assorted, frozen)

Step 3

Mix the fruits with the rest of the sugar.

Add fruits to an oven-proof dish, a proportionate size to the quantity of fruit. The ideal amount of fruit in a crumble is about 4-5cm thick.

Remove the crumble when the top is nice and golden. Eat hot or cold, alone or with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of crème fraîche.
