Shredded cheese

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Mix together the crème fraîche, Parmesan & half of the grated cheese.

White bread (sliced)
Butter (salted)

Step 2

Butter the bread slices on one side.

Step 3

Grease an oven-proof dish with butter. Add half of the bread slices with the buttered side facing up.

Ham (deli slices)

Step 4

Add the ham & the rest of the grated cheese.

Step 5

Close the croque-monsieur with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing the cheese. Cover the sandwhich with the cream/cheese mixture. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 220°C.

Step 6

Once golden brown, take the croque-monsieur out of the oven. Cut them in half.

Spring mix lettuce

Step 7

Serve the croque-monsieur with the side of green salad dressed to your liking. Enjoy!
