Butter (unsalted) (1 Dab), 
Water (250 ml)

Utensils

Oven, Thermomix, Parchment paper

Yellow onion

Step 1

Peel & slice the onions into thin rounds.

Step 2

In the Thermomix bowl, add : a dab of butter & the onions. Optional : for a thicker soup, add 1 teaspoon of flour per serving. Cook for 3 min / 100°C / reverse / speed 3.

Chicken bouillon (cube)

Step 3

Add 250ml of hot water per serving & the stock cube to the Thermomix bowl. Season to taste & add a splash of white wine (optional). Stir & cook for another 25 minutes / 100°C / reverse / vitesse 'Simmering'.

Country bread (sliced)
Shredded cheese

Step 4

Meanwhile, place the bread on an ovenproof baking sheet, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake on grill mode until the cheese is melted.

Step 5

Serve the soup in a bowl and place the toast on top.
