Flavorful meatballs served with couscous & a refreshing lemon yogurt sauce !
Stovetop, Frying pan
Step 1
Peel & finely mince the shallots.
Step 2
Wash & finely mince the mint.
Step 3
Prepare the keftas. In a large bowl, add : the minced beef, cumin, chili, grated garlic, half of the mint & ¾ of the shallots. Season with salt & pepper. Mix it all together using your hands.
Step 4
Form oblong-shaped meatballs with the mixture. If you have some, spear the meatballs with wooden skewers.
Step 5
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan over hight heat. Add the keftas & grill them for 1-2 min on all 4 sides, until they are golden brown & cooked through.
Step 6
Meanwhile, boil a pot of water. In a bowl, add the couscous & pour over the same volume of couscous in boiling water. Cover & leave to soak for 5 min. Fluff the couscous with a fork & set aside.
Step 7
Prepare the yogurt sauce. In a bowl, mix : the greek yogurt with the remaining mint & shallots. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
Step 8
