The ultimate comfort food on Passover ! Whether you love it savory or sweet, Matzo Brei is always a treat!
Make sure you have...
Frying pan, Stovetop
Step 1
Run cold water over matzo for 20 seconds to soften slightly. Alternatively, soak the matzo in a flat-wide bowl filled with cold water for 15 seconds.
Step 2
In a flat-wide bowl, crack the eggs. Add milk & a pinch of salt. Whisk it all together.
Step 3
Break the softened matzo into small pieces & add to the egg mixture. Toss to evenly coat the matzo.
Step 4
Heat two dabs of butter on a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add everything to the pan. Gently stir & cook the egg-coated matzo until the edges begin to brown, about 4-5 min.
Step 5
Serve hot with your favorite toppings! We love maple syrup, honey, or a sprinkle of sugar! For a savory twist, try adding caramelized onions & chives. Enjoy!
