Brussels sprouts (fresh)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 210°C. In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the Brussels sprouts for 4-5 min. Drain them.

Bacon

Step 2

Roughly chop the bacon strips.

Maple syrup
Cayenne pepper

Step 3

Line an oven-proof dish with parchment paper. Add the Brussels sprouts & bacon. Drizzle over with olive oil & season with salt, pepper & Cayenne pepper (optional) Add a drizzle of maple syrup et toss to combine. Roast for 30 min at 210°C.

Step 4

Once the Brussels sprouts & bacon are golden & crispy, remove them from the oven & serve on a plate with an extra little drizzle of maple syrup. Re-season to taste & enjoy !
