Step 1
Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions.

Zest the lemons into a bowl and set aside.

Juice the lemons and set aside.

Drain the pasta 1 to 2 minutes before it's done, reserving a ladleful of the pasta cooking water.
Step 5
In a pan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the lemon juice and stir with a spatula for 2 minutes.

Add half of the lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper. The sauce should thicken slightly.
Step 7
Transfer the cooked pasta to the pan and add a bit of the cooking water. Turn the heat to medium.
Step 8
Add the grated parmesan and cook for a few minutes until the sauce has thickened and is creamy.
Step 9
Simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 10
Serve the pasta sprinkled with grated parmesan and the remaining lemon zest — it's ready!
