Step 1

Peel the apples, remove the core and any pips and cut them into small pieces.

Sugar (granulated)

Step 2

Add the apples to a saucepan with 50 ml water/person and the sugar (you can substitute with honey).

Cinnamon (ground)

Step 3

Add the cinnamon, split the vanilla pod and add it to the saucepan.

Step 4

Mix, cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes and stir regularly.

Step 5

After 15 minutes, remove the vanilla pod and mash the compote with a fork, potato masher or blender.

Step 6

Serve and enjoy!
