Flour (all-purpose)
Baking powder

Step 1

Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl: flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and a spoonful of sugar (optional).

Separate the egg yolks from the whites in two separate bowls.

Milk (whole)

Add the milk to the egg yolks and mix.

Step 4

Pour the egg yolk/milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 5

Add the melted butter and mix to combine. Be sure not to over mix!

Add a pinch of salt to the egg whites and whisk until peaks form.

Slowly incorporate the egg whites into the batter, using a spatula.

Step 8

Lightly butter a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add a ladleful of batter to the pan and cook for 2 minutes, or until bubbles start to form. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes, until light golden brown.

Step 9

Repeat until there is no remaining batter. Tip: Use a large pan and make a few pancakes at a time.

Step 10

Serve with nut butter, maple syrup, jam...Enjoy!
