Pasta, ham & broccoli covered in a creamy, cheesy sauce! What more could you ask for?

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain them at the end of cooking.
Step 2
Meanwhile, wash the broccoli, then cut it into tops*. Cut the tops in half if necessary. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 3
In a second pot of boiling water, cook the broccoli for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain it at the end of cooking.
Step 4
Prepare the béchamel: in a saucepan, add the butter and melt it over low heat. Add the flour and mix quickly.
Step 5
Gradually add the milk, mixing until you obtain a slightly thick pancake batter texture. Salt, pepper and mix. (optional: you can add grated nutmeg to your béchamel). Reserve.
Step 6
In a baking dish, add the drained pasta, broccoli and ham sticks.
Step 7
Then cover with the béchamel and mix.
Step 8
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 9
Bake for 15 minutes in the oven at 200°C, until the top is nicely browned. Enjoy!
For a zero-waste meal, add the sliced brocoli stems into your dish or add them to a soup !
