White rice (long grain)

Step 1

In a saucepan of boiling salted water, cook the rice according to package instructions. Drain when cooked.

Cucumber

Meanwhile, wash and cut the cucumber into small cubes.

Carrots (fresh)

Peel and grate the carrots.

Avocado

Step 4

Cut the avocado in half, then cut it into small cubes.

Gyoza (chicken)

Step 5

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the gyoza and cook for 2 minutes until golden. Add a drizzle of hot water. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 6

Once the gyoza are cooked, remove the lid and let the remaining water evaporate for 1 minute.

Sesame seeds

Step 7

Serve the rice in a bowl or shallow dish with the cucumber, carrots, avocado, and chicken gyoza. Drizzle with soy sauce and sprinkle with chopped chives and sesame seeds, if you have any. It's ready!
