A rustic risotto with slices of smoked sausage and a big helping of gruyere cheese.
Make sure you have...
Stovetop, Pot (small), Kettle, Peeler
Step 1
Peel and mince the garlic.
Step 2
Peel and mince the shallot.
Step 3
Slice the sausage.
Step 4
In a frying pan or saucepan, add a bit of olive oil, the garlic, shallots, sausage and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Boil a cup of water per person and dissolve the chicken broth in it.
Step 6
Next add the rice and white wine, cook until the liquid absorbs.
Step 7
Season with pepper. Add a ladle of stock and leave it to absorb, adding another one afterwards. Continue until there's no more stock.
Step 8
After 15-18 minutes, the rice should be cooked. Remove from the heat.
Step 9
Add the grated gruyere cheese and mix.
Step 10
Serve in a plate with some extra comté il you have some left. Season with pepper and enjoy!
