Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190°C. Cut the prunes in half and discard the pits.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix together the eggs and sugar*. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 3
Little by little, add the flour and stir.
Step 4
Little by little, add the milk and stir.
Step 5
Optional: add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Step 6
Butter a pie dish or cake pan.
Step 7
Pour the batter into the buttered pan.
Step 8
Arrange the prunes, cut side up, in the batter and bake for 45 minutes at 190°C.
Step 9
Remove the plan from the oven and let cool. Cut into slices and it's time for dessert!
If you wish to reduce sugar quantities, you can remove up to ⅓ of the sugar in this recipe without altering flavor.
