Stovetop, Frying pan, Pot (small)

White rice (long grain)

Step 1

In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked through, drain the rice.

Broccoli (fresh)

Step 2

Meanwhile, wash then cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.

Step 3

Cook the broccoli in a pan of boiling salted water for 6 minutes. Once cooked through, drain the broccoli.

Chicken breast
Mild chile powder, ground (Espelette)

Step 4

Meanwhile, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken & coat in half of the Espelette pepper. Season with salt & pepper & sear undisturbed for 4-5 mins.

Step 5

Flip the chicken & season with the remaining Espelette pepper, a pinch of salt & pepper. Sear for another 4-5 min on the second side.

Step 6

Serve the chicken with the rice & broccoli. Season everything to taste & enjoy !
