Make sure you have...
Stovetop, Pot (small)
Step 1
Clean the mussels by wiping them with a paper towel & removing any "beards" (these are the hair-like pieces that might be attached to the mussels).
Step 2
If using frozen shrimp, defrost them.
Step 3
Peel & roughly chop the garlic.
Step 4
In a pot of salted, boiling water, add the linguine & cook until 'al dente', about 6 min.
Step 5
Meanwhile, wash & chop the parsley.
Step 6
Drain the pasta & set aside.
Step 7
Add a dab of butter & a drizzle of olive oil to a pot on medium-high heat. Add the chopped garlic & shrimp. Cook for 1-2 min until the shrimp are almost fully cooked.
Step 8
Add the white wine & mussels. Cover & cook for 5-6 min or until the mussels open up.
Step 9
Add the drained pasta & chopped parsley into the pot. Stir to combine, then remove from the heat. Serve & enjoy !
