Utensils

Stovetop, Frying pan, Pot (small)

recipe

Pasta (tagliatelle dry)

Step 1

Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box.

Egg
Mild chile powder, ground

Step 2

Set up 3 shallow bowls. In one, add the egg, a pinch of salt, pepper and mild chili powder (or paprika). Whisk.

Flour (all-purpose)
Chicken breast

Step 3

Place the flour in the second and the breadcrumbs in the last one.

Bread crumbs (plain)

Step 4

Dredge the chicken into the flour (on both sides), then into the egg and last, the breadcrumbs*. *Check out our tips for this step

Step 5

Optional: For a thicker breading, dip a second time into the egg and then into the breadcrumbs.

Step 6

Drain the pasta and set aside.

Oil

Step 7

Add 1-2 tablespoons of oil to a pan over medium heat. When the oil starts to sizzle (you can test when it's ready by throwing in a few breadcrumbs), add the chicken. (replenish the oil as you go)

Step 8

Cook until golden brown on one side, and flip. (5-6 minutes on each side). Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to absorb any extra oil.

Step 9

Once golden & cooked through, remove the chicken from the pan & set aside on paper towels.

Tomato sauce (basil)
Pasta (tagliatelle dry)

Step 10

Heat the pasta sauce (in the same pot as the pasta). Add the pasta and mix together.

Step 11

Cut the chicken into slices.

Step 12

Serve the chicken with the pasta. Optional: Add some fresh herbs. Enjoy!

😋 Gourmet tipCamille U

For a truly flavoursome dish, we suggest seasoning the breading with garlic, 'herbes de Provence', smoked paprika or grated parmesan.
