Butter (unsalted)
Dark chocolate

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a pot, melt the chocolate and butter over low heat, until you obtain a smooth mixture.

Step 2

Separate the whites from the egg yolks.

Step 3

In a large bowl, add the egg yolks and sugar. Whisk with 20g of water (quantities for 1 cake), until you obtain a smooth mixture.

Dark chocolate
Flour (all-purpose)
Baking powder

Step 4

Stir in the chocolate & melted butter into the egg mixture. Add the flour and yeast. Mix again.

Beat the whites until stiff & gently add them little by little to the mixture.

Step 6

Line the bottom of a cake mold with a sheet of baking paper, & butter the sides of the mold. Pour in the cake batter & bake for 35 minutes at 180°C.

Step 7

Leave the cake to cool down before un-molding it by turning it over & removing the baking paper.

Marshmallows

Step 8

Microwave the marshmallows for 30 seconds. Mix well until they begin to become stringy.

Step 9

Using two teaspoons, stretch the melted marshmallows into threads. Spread them all over the cake to form a spider web. Enjoy !
