Made with juicy cherries, this is one of our favorite dishes!
Oven, Thermomix, Microwave, Sheet Tray
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 210°C. Rinse the cherries, remove the stalks and the stones (or not). However you choose to leave the stones in, watch out for your teeth! The traditional version of this recipe keeps them!
Step 2
In the mixing bowl, add: flour, sugar*, a pinch of salt (optional: vanilla sugar). Mix for 5 sec / speed 3. Add in the eggs, and mix again for 5 sec / speed 3. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 3
Next add in the milk bit by bit, and mix again on speed 1. Add in the melted butter and mix a final time for 5 sec / speed 3.
Step 4
Grease your pie dish (we used a 31 cm diameter dish here), spread out the apricots on the bottom and pour the batter on top. Cook for 10 minutes at 210°C, then lower the heat to 180°C and cook for 20 minutes more.
Step 5
Serve lukewarm or cold (optional: decorate with some icing sugar on top). Enjoy!
If you wish to reduce sugar quantities, you can remove up to ⅓ of the sugar in this recipe without altering flavor.
