Cherries (fresh)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 210°C. Rinse the cherries, removing the stalks and stones or leaving them if you wish.

Step 2

If you're leaving the stones, watch out for your teeth when it comes to eating it! This traditional recipe keeps them ;)

Flour (all-purpose)
Sugar (granulated)
Vanilla sugar

Step 3

In a bowl, mix: the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt (optional: vanilla sugar).

Egg
Milk (whole)

Step 4

Mix in the eggs, then the milk little by little, continuously mixing until you have a smooth, lump-free mixture.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 5

Add in the melted butter.

Cherries (fresh)

Step 6

Grease your cake dish/tin well, add the cherries, spreading them out along the bottom. Pour on the cake batter.

Step 7

Cook for 10 minutes at 210°C, then lower the heat to 180°C and cook for 20 minutes more.

Step 8

Serve lukewarm or cold (optional: add icing sugar to decorate).
