Step 1
Peel then cut the red onions into thin rings.
Step 2
Cut the pickles into thin slices.
Step 3
Add the ground beef to a bowl. Season with salt & pepper, then mix well using your hands.

Form two even balls of meat per portion, using your hands.
Step 5
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the meat balls and crush them using a spatula so that they are flat and thin. Grill them for 2 minutes on each side.
Step 6
Then add a slice of cheddar on one of the patties. Cover it with the second patty and add the second slice of cheddar on top. Cover and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 7
Meanwhile, in a second hot pan, melt a knob of butter. Toast the inside of your burger buns for 15 to 30 seconds. Reserve.
Step 8
Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom bun. Then add the burger patties, followed by the onions, pickles and lettuce. Enjoy!
