Step 1

Peel the apples and cut them into quarters.

Butter (unsalted)
Sugar (granulated)

Step 2

Heat the butter and sugar together in a pan, mixing until the butter is melted and the sugar dissolves.

Add the apples and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, or until the apples are golden brown.

Cinnamon (ground)

Step 4

When the apples are done cooking, add a pinch of cinnamon and stir once more, then remove from heat.

Place a spoonful of crème fraîche on a plate and add the caramelized apples. Sprinkle with a bit more cinnamon and a pinch of fleur de sel (optional). It's ready!
