Step 1

Add a drizzle of olive oil to a pan over high heat and toast for 1 minute on the crumb side. (You can also toast them on the grill for 3 minutes).

Slice the tomatoes

Mozzarella (buffalo)

Slice the mozzarella

Step 4

Build your sandwich. Spread both sides of buns with pesto. On the bottom half, add 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of mozzarella, basil on top. Season with salt and pepper.
