Crunchy little Brussels sprouts, a hint of hazelnut and parmesan, & some lemon zest for a surprising zing!

Stovetop, Frying pan, Grater, Oven
Step 1
Trim the Brussels sprouts and remove the first layer of leaves if they are damaged.
Step 2
Cut them into slices, then place them in a colander and rinse until water runs clear.
Step 3
Coarsely chop the hazelnuts. (Optional: toast in the oven at 180°C for 5 minutes).
Step 4
Add a drizzle of olive oil to a pan on high heat, add the chili pepper and mix.
Step 5
Add the Brussels sprouts and cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly, until lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Serve the Brussels sprouts with the Parmesan cheese, lemon zest and a few crushed hazelnuts or nuts.
Step 7
Season to your taste & enjoy!
