Broccoli disguised under a layer of gnocchi and cheese: the best way to make the kids eat their greens !
Make sure you have...
Oven, Stovetop, Frying pan
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Wash and chop the broccoli into florets. You can also dice the stems and add them to your dish.
Step 2
Finely chop the garlic.
Step 3
In a frying pan, add a bit of olive, garlic, broccoli, and gnocchi. Cook for 2 minutes on a high heat.
Step 4
Add a bit of water, cover and cook for 5 minutes on a medium heat.
Step 5
Season and add the spinach and cook for 2 more minutes.
Step 6
Once the cooking time is up, add the ricotta, salt and pepper*. Mix together. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 7
Add everything in an oven-proof dish, sprinkle on parmesan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from the oven when the top is golden.
Step 8
(Optional: add a bit of lemon zest before serving)
For a truly flavoursome dish, we suggest seasoning your broccoli & gnocchi with some 'herbes de Provence', 'piment d'Espelette' or dried parsley.
