Leeks

Step 1

Cut off the ends of the leeks (the root and the dark green part) and then slice the white and light green parts into rings.

Step 2

Place them in a colander and rinse thoroughly to remove impurities or dirt.

In a pan, add a dab of butter and the leeks. Cook on high heat for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

Reduce heat to medium, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
