Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Finely chop the onions.
Step 2
In a large frying pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and sauté the onion and grated or diced garlic. Cook for 2 minutes on medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef and brown for 4 minutes.
Step 4
Add the tomato sauce, salt, pepper and thyme. Optional: add fresh or dried basil
Step 5
Cook on low heat while you're preparing the bechamel sauce.
Step 6
In another pan, melt the butter on low heat.
Step 7
Add the flour, stirring rapidly.
Step 8
Slowly add the milk with a whisk, while constantly stirring until smooth.
Step 9
Add salt and pepper and mix. Optional: add a pinch of nutmeg. Remove from heat.
Step 10
In an oven-safe dish, layer the bolognese sauce, mozzarella, bechamel sauce and lasagna noodles (uncooked).
Step 11
After making 3 layers, top with a layer of bechamel sauce and top with mozzarella.
Step 12
Baking at 180°C for 40 minutes.
Step 13
Serve hot and enjoy!
