Stovetop, Pot (small)
Step 1
Boil a large pot of water. Add: soy sauce, sliced (or powdered) ginger, sliced lemon, salt, pepper, a drizzle of olive oil.
Step 2
Optional: add basil leaves if you have any.
Step 3
Add the chicken, and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile, wash the salad and finely chop it.
Step 5
Slice the onion into thin rings.
Step 6
Once the chicken is cooked, take it out of the water, saving the broth for later.
Step 7
Place the chicken on a board and beat it ("bang bang") with a rolling pin until it loosens.
Step 8
In a dish add the salad, chicken, sprinkle with a little broth, onions, cilantro, a drizzle of olive oil, salt, pepper.
Step 9
Tip: you can reuse the broth to cook pasta, rice, rice noodles, or vegetables for a future meal ;)
