White mushrooms (whole)

Step 1

If using frozen salmon, defrost it ahead of time, in its sealed plastic packaging, in a bowl of room-temperature water for 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Clean and trim the mushrooms and cut them in half.

Soy sauce

Step 2

Spread the mushrooms on an oven-safe baking dish or sheet pan. Add a little oil, the garlic (minced or crushed), ground black pepper to taste, and half of the soy sauce. Mix and put into the oven to bake for 8 minutes.

White rice (long grain)

Meanwhile, cook the rice according to the directions on the package (about 10–11 minutes).

Salmon (fresh)

Step 4

After 8 minutes, remove the mushrooms from the oven. Add the salmon fillets, season with ground black pepper and the rest of the soy sauce, and drizzle with a bit of oil. Put the mushrooms and salmon in the oven for 12 minutes.

Step 5

Step 6

Remove the salmon and mushrooms from the oven and serve with the rice.
