A retro French dessert made with fresh Summer apricots !
Oven, Digicook, Microwave, Sheet Tray
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 210°C. Rinse & slice the apricots in halves - use rips apricots. Discard the pit.
Step 2
In the Digicook mixing bowl, add : the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt & the vanilla sugar (optional). Close the bowl with the cap on top & start the program : speed 4 / 30 sec.
Step 3
Add the eggs & start the program : speed 4 / 30 sec.
Step 4
Melt the butter & add it into the Digicook bowl with the milk. Close the bowl with the cap on top & start the program : speed 4 / 50 sec.
Step 5
Grease your cake pan (we used a 23 cm diameter dish here).
Step 6
Add the apricots spreading them out evenly in the cake pan. Pour the cake batter on top* & bake for 10 min at 210°C. Lower the heat to 180°C & continue baking for another 20 min. *Check out our tips for this step
Step 7
Once golden, remove the apricot clafoutis from the oven. Leave to cool slightly before sprinkling with icing sugar. Serve & enjoy !
For a truly flavoursome dish, we suggest adding a drizzle of honey before baking & sprinkling toasted slivered almonds once baked.
