Air fryer
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the grated comté, cream and nutmeg, if you have any. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Spread half of the comté/cream mixture on one of the slices of country bread, then add the ham on top.
Step 3
Close the croque-monsieur with the second slice of bread, then cover them with the rest of the comté/cream mixture. In the air fryer basket with the grid and baking paper, place the croque-monsieur. Cook them in the air fryer for 6 to 8 minutes at 200°C.
Step 4
Once golden brown and crispy, remove the croque-monsieur from the air fryer. If necessary, cut it in half and serve on a plate with the green salad seasoned to your taste. It's ready!
